In my years of psychiatric practice, I have had the privilege of working with many patients. Some of their stories stayed with me. In “Through a Shrink’s Eyes,” I share those stories and what they have taught me.
I have also seen a great many changes in my field. Here I reflect on those changes, on mental health, and on the world beyond the psychiatrist’s office. I bring a psychiatrist’s perspective to the questions, experiences, and everyday events that shape our lives.
